Holi is a Hindu festival celebrated in March every year (so yes, this blog is a wee bit late!) Known as the 'festival of colour' or the 'festival of love', it signifies the end of winter and beginning of Spring, victory of good over evil and a day to play and celebrate with others.
We spent the day wandering the streets being covered in paint and meeting fellow travellers and Indians who had come to Arambol to celebrate. I've tried to post the photos in the order they were taken, so you can see our faces slowly disappear beneath the paint as the day went on!
